We Love Free Things!

Hi beautiful reader! I have the very fortunate position at work to get products I love and want to try as gratis. I'll go into detail about what gratis is, why I get it, and more in this post. I'm so excited to share my favorites with you.

What's 'GRATIS'?

So if you're similar to me, I had no idea what the word gratis meant and what it was when I first started working in the beauty industry. Gratis just means free, like when you get something without having to pay for it. For example, if a store gives you a free sample, that’s gratis. It has Latin roots like a lot of English and other modern languages, but what's important is the meaning. Free Samples. Gifts. No purchase. NO COST! Who knew there was a fancy word for work perks?!

Why Does Marie get it?

I know it's an amazing work bonus I receive and I am so grateful for it. I currently am a Benefit Arch Expert at an Ulta Beauty location. My position is being a specialist in the brand Benefit while also being a service professional, offering brow waxing and etc. I do my absolute best to stay as up to date and educated about the brand which helps me show my skills at work which is shown in metrics. By hitting goals and staying educated, I get a wonderful opportunity to try products and see who would enjoy it and get the most out of it.

So Marie got free things?

Being in this field I have received gratis in the past, but now I get to write about it! As of me writing this I have a few new things heading my way that I am extremely impatiently waiting for. I don't want this post to come off as bragging or showing off, I want to let those who wonder know how I try so many things. I love video hauls, so I have written about what I chose and why in the next section. I don't always get to pick exactly everything I get for gratis but when Benefit lets me, I know exactly my go to favorites.

I am so in love with Benefit products its unbelievable how much my love for beauty as turned into a career that I absolutely am so grateful for. I'm going to list the products and what makes it great and why I personally love it.

Get Unblocked

With 'Get Unblocked', you'll have the skin loving ingredients like grapeseed, jojoba, and avocado oil for nourishing and hydrating the skin to keep its radiance. While it might seem strange to use an oil to clean out dead skin cells and makeup from the pores but these oils attract them out. Using a circular massage motion, you'll be able to clean your most stubborn makeup off without wasting disposable wipes, go you environmentalist! 

Benetint

You know those days you want a casual makeup look but you feel like your lips are too bare but a lipstick is too bold? 'Benetint' is the best solution for those days you want a flush of color but still look like you're born gorgeous (even though I think you already are jaw-dropping). My favorite shade is the classic original rose because it enhances the natural pinks in my lips and cheeks. 

24-Hour Brow Setter

This is the thinnest brow set gel I have found and it's perfect. Brows are something I focus most of my time talking about at work (being an Arch Expert and all) and the '24-Hour Brow Setter' is a big hit with my clients after their brow wax. The spatula on the wand is what makes the difference for me, because it has the flat side to lay the hairs flat to the face and the teeth on the edge to sculpt and mimic a brow lamination.

Badgal Bounce Mascara

A mascara that helps your lashes stay hydrated?! Yes, this 'Badgal Bounce Mascara' is packed with vitamin B5 to help condition those hairs so there's less falling onto your pillowcase at night. The wand on this is magical too. The fluffier side of the brush is how you get that volume we love and the thin comb side of the brush is to separate your lashes.

POREfessional Super Setter

 Setting sprays are a popular product in the beauty market, but this one takes the cake. I have a combination skin type which makes it hard finding something to set my makeup without adding to the texture on my drier areas. Using this 'POREfessional Super Setter' has changed the finish into something I love for my makeup. It's microfine mist feels so soft and refreshing—no harsh water jet sensation.

Mighty Fine Brow Pen

Making your eyebrows appear fuller without the feeling of heavy product, it's 'Mighty Fine' to the rescue. The product in the pen is like an eyeliner ink but less opaque. The three thin brushes are 0.1 mm for those hair-like strokes. It's perfect for those who have lost hair to illness or injury because its water-resistant so no one will know they're not your natural brow hairs
